With a long tradition in teacher training since 1825, today it has developed into a university characterized by a broad range of courses, intensive research and international networking. The courses on offer range from teacher training and childhood education to health promotion, nursing science and intercultural Master's programs.

The Challenge

The website for the University of Education in Schwäbisch Gmünd needed to be completely redesigned and modernized. A particular challenge lay in the site’s enormous depth of content: numerous subpages, extensive information for various target groups, and a wide range of custom modules made the project complex and demanding.

Our Solution

We developed a completely new, responsive design concept that presents the university’s content in a structured, accessible, and user-friendly way. This was followed by technical implementation based on TYPO3—a powerful CMS that is particularly well-suited for larger institutions.

We placed special emphasis on developing and integrating numerous flexible content modules that ensure a consistent presentation across all pages. This allowed us to meet the needs of the various departments while ensuring intuitive usability.

The university itself handled the maintenance and editorial content management. Thanks to the structured preparation and clearly documented modules, this process went smoothly.

Result

The new PH Gmünd website is informative, technically up-to-date, and easy to navigate for all user groups—from prospective students to research staff. Its modular design allows the university’s internal team to maintain and further develop the site over the long term.
